Since Liana’s diagnosis, she has been exceptionally brave and endures her disease with ease and determination. The teddy bear is the symbol of our dream for a cure and of our loving support for Liana.
When Liana was first diagnosed at the age of 7, her teddy bears brought her a sense of comfort and support through battling the ups and downs of diabetes. That is why we made our symbol at LDF a teddy bear, as at a young age of having diabetes, it gave Liana a sense of hope and connection, reminding her of all the love she gets from her family and friends that surround her every day. By making the teddy bear our logo, we want to extend this circle of support to you!
